Editorial Guidelines

StyleSeenDaily publishes guides across six areas of life: style, travel, wellness, beauty, gadgets, and culture. These guidelines explain how we make decisions about what we publish, how we research it, and how we handle commercial relationships.

They exist for two reasons: to hold ourselves accountable, and to help readers understand exactly what they’re reading.

Our Editorial Standard

Every piece of content published on StyleSeenDaily must meet one test: would we stake our reputation on this?

That means:

  • We only recommend things we have genuinely researched or tested
  • We write for the reader, not for search engines, advertisers, or affiliate commissions
  • We update guides when information becomes outdated — we do not let stale content sit uncorrected
  • We correct errors promptly and transparently

How We Research and Test

Products and gear — wherever possible, we test products ourselves before recommending them. Where we have not personally tested something, we say so and explain our research methodology (expert consensus, long-term user reviews, verified specifications).

Travel — our travel guides are based on first-hand experience where possible, supplemented by verified, current information from official sources. We update travel guides regularly, particularly around logistics and pricing.

Wellness and beauty — we are evidence-conscious. We distinguish between claims backed by good research and those that are anecdotal or trend-driven. We do not publish health claims that are not supported by credible evidence.

Culture — recommendations are editorial opinion. We say clearly when something is a personal recommendation versus a consensus pick.

Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships

Affiliate Links

Some links in our content are affiliate links. When you purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are used across product guides, gear roundups, and recommendation posts.

Affiliate relationships never determine our recommendations. We do not recommend products because they have an affiliate program. We select affiliate links for products we would recommend regardless.

Sponsored Content

We occasionally publish sponsored content — guides or posts produced in partnership with a brand. All sponsored content is:

  • Clearly labelled at the top of the post as “Sponsored” or “In Partnership With [Brand]”
  • Written to our editorial standard — we do not publish sponsored content we would not stand behind
  • Subject to our review and approval — we retain editorial control over voice, structure, and accuracy

Advertiser Influence

Advertisers and brand partners have no influence over our editorial content. No advertiser may request positive coverage, removal of negative mentions, or any editorial change as a condition of a commercial relationship.

Corrections Policy

We make mistakes. When we do:

  • We correct errors as quickly as possible
  • Significant corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the article with a brief explanation of what changed and when
  • We do not quietly delete or rewrite content without acknowledgement

StyleSeenDaily is independently owned and operated. We have no parent company, investor, or corporate owner with editorial influence over our content.

AI and Automation

We use AI tools as part of our research and drafting process. All content published on StyleSeenDaily is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content without substantive human oversight and verification.
